a two minute homily

Sunday, 10 February, 2008

Okay so just to test out how blogging works on WordPress, here is my impromptu two minute homily:

Patience is a virtue. There are so many things we want NOW, and yet, we can’t have it right now, and the more you want it, the more you think about it. And the more you think about it, the more you want it. How can one be patient for something or someone that might not happen when we want it to? Well, just think how greedy someone would get if they got everything they wanted right away. I used to know a guy that was pretty spoiled by his parents growing up, and now this guy still is spoiled.

Will praying help make one more patient? Oh you don’t pray? Well try it. Just do it, pray to whomever and however you like. And put things in perspective. The world isn’t coming to an end because you can’t have whatever it is you want, right now. There are worse situations to be in, far worse. So count your blessings.

That might not have been two minutes.
